Since 1871, when this church was founded by thirteen visionary people, First United Methodist Church has made a difference in the spiritual lives of many. While we have maintained a downtown location, we are truly a regional church, reaching many persons from the surrounding communities of Calcasieu Parish. We have two worship options, one contemporary and one more traditional. Whichever option you prefer, it is our hope that you will find the experience to be warm, inviting, and dynamic. If you are living anywhere in the area or just in the area for the weekend, we invite you to join us for worship.
