I like Denzel Washington. He has so many great movies like, Man on Fire, Training Day, The Equalizer, The Book of Eli, Glory, Philadelphia, The Great Debaters.
Denzel Washington is a Christian. His faith means a lot to him. He reads his Bible every day.
According to Christianity Today, he spoke at a prayer breakfast a couple of years ago. During his presentation, he said these words, “Give thanks for blessings every day. Every day. Embrace gratitude. Encourage others. It is impossible to be grateful and hateful at the same time. I pray that you put your slippers way under your bed at night, so that when you wake up in the morning you have to start on your knees to find them. And while you're down there, say, ‘thank you.’”
The Apostle Paul said, “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (I Thessalonians 5:18)
The psalmist declared, “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart. I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” (Psalm 9:1)
Perhaps this Thanksgiving, in addition to spending time with family and friends and watching football and eating turkey, we can also spend a little time in prayer, thanking God for His goodness and for a thousand daily blessings of life. Happy Thanksgiving!
